Thanks for the response everyone.

Still doing research on the best place to go.. wether its bespoke.. or getting alterations (in case I go OTR.... but once again, still trying to do research on the "best" suit for my budget)

W.W. Chan are going to be in Houston on April 1. Just a thought...they get a lotta love on this forum, not least from me.

Do you know their most up to date pricing by chance?

I think their starter price for a suit (VBC Super 110) would be somewhere in the vicinity of $1,300 these days.

I got a Smith Woollens Excel 120s (I think) for $1,800 last year when they were in Houston day before Thanksgiving 2011. A couple months (day before Thanksgiving 2012) back I got a fresco blazer and crispaire pants for about $1,400 I believe.

EDIT: Fixed mobile shitty typing.

Vintage Gent's thread on Nick Lopez:

Looks pretty cool. I've had a good experience with WW Chan so far and when I am home in Houston for Thanksgiving I go for a fitting with Chan, too. Nick Lopez is probably far more convenient and, given the post date, probably a good bit more expensive than it is listed there ($1,800).

This is correct. Chan is my go-to now, but last year I did get a pair of dinner trousers from Nick.
