Y'know, I've never had In N Out unfortunately. Something I must rectify one of these days.

I will say that I am not a huge fan of Five Guys' burger. Their fries are another story--those are great, provided they have cooked them enough. I've been to a couple where they didn't spend long enough in the second fryer and weren't as crispy as they should be. But yeah, when they are good, they are really good fries.

I've only had In-N-Out once, but I remember being decidedly "meh" about it, at least partially because it could have never lived up to the "ZOMG!!! In-N-Out RULLLEZ" hype. Even so, it wasn't that great, definitely not better than Five Guys.

i've only ever been to one Five Guys - the one about 15 mins from my home - but i was impressed to see that there actually are five guys manning the store all the time. is it just my store or is it some kind of corporate policy (that would make total sense)

In N Out tastes like McDonald's with slightly fresher ingredients. I couldn't taste any burger at all.

Five Guys is too greasy.

I prefer Whataburger. Even then, I prefer not to eat fast food burgers.

How is this a question? 5 guys. No doubt.

Those of you voting in-n-out, be honest, have you actually ever had 5 guys?

5 Guys needs to get rid of the annoying foil they use to wrap burgers, causing them to be soggy.

Cajun fries are awesome though with the malt vinegar.

5 Guys is good, but In-N-Out set the standard for all others to meet. 5 Guys fries are great, and In-N-Out could take a lesson on the malt vinegar.

Ballmouse! Serious? Whataburger? Bleh!

wha? i think it's in n out no doubt and i have a 5 guys 10 minutes from me

+1, I actually ate at 5 Guys on saturday, a couple weeks after I got back from my trip to California where I also had In n Out.

To me the winner is In n Out, and it's not even close. (it may be a bit close on the fries, but I still think In n Out wins there too due to a less greasy, salty taste)
