Nick, as a cobbler, are there specific brands that are easier to resole than others even if they are both GYW?

Yup, sorry for the confusion. Also curious to any idiosyncratic differences between US vs. UK GYW constructions. Maybe they are generally similar...

Any cobbler worth his salt can do GYWs. But, it's his process that really counts.
This thread was really intended for C&J and to acknowledge and appreciate them for their efforts.

Sorry for the tangent but I definitely agree C&J, with their selection and lasts, are hard to beat at their price point. Any know if there are specific benefits for C&J should hey be given a warrant?

We are sorry to say this is not true. We have not looked into getting a Royal Warrant.
