As Zegna makes suits (and thus tags) for both Gucci and TF, this suit could be any of them, though the details indicate it's not the latter. Could be Zegna's own line, too.

It's Tom Ford Era Gucci suit. As far as I know, Gucci never have suits made in Switz for years.

So, no one here likes the suit, right?

It says "GU" on the zegna makers tag. If it was Tom Ford it would say "TF"

Look under ET CLI it says "GU"

As opposed to this one from Tom Ford which says "TF"

This is not quite right. Both Tom Ford and Gucci (at least some of them) are made in the Zegna Factory on the border of switzerland and italy. Where it is assembled determine weather it says "Made in Italy" or "Made in Switzerland". Just because this is made in switzerland doesn't automatically make it an older suit.

It's an awful looking thing but without full length photos it is difficult to judge. However to be going on with the lapels are hideous and indeed lifting, you do not suit the shoulders which are too structured anyway for cotton.

The flaps on the pockets are straight from the 1970s, the centre vent too - and it is pulling. Sleeves too short as well.

In fact there is nothing going for it so take it back.

This is a full length shot. I really like the suit, and if I decide to keep it, can you please comment on the alteration? The pants was hemmed when I received, and I un-hemmed it myself, but I will bring these to my tailor to press them.

I also notice the pull in the front. What can I do to fix it?

if you keep the suit, don't wear the shirt and matching pocket square

Alteration suggestion?

A good tailor should be able to look at the jacket and suggest appropriate alterations,
but ask him if the waist of the jacket can be let out a bit. That hour glass shape especially
when seen from the back just doesn't look right (unless that's what you want).

The trousers look dreadful as well. The coat is slightly too long.

Just cut your losses.

Pents are too baggy.

I don't like the lapels very much. It's higher than what I normally like. The pants appears to need some tapering along the leg. But then again, a tailor has better advice than I do.

Kinda costume-y, but also kinda cool, in my opinion. To be the dissenting voice here, it is far from awful. Wear it to a summer daytime wedding.
