I saw a guy on the subway(NYC) yesterday with a Barbour type jacket that came up to HIS WAIST over a suit! I am not talking the regular length Barbour type jacket(and I am not sure it was that brand).....but this came to his waist..Totally absurd!

I would say that this is a very Euro or even rather Italian look - saw this a lot down there!

People do and the world won't fall apart as a result, indeed the wearer might protect himself from the elements which is essential.

However readers here will have an apoplexy - just ignore them.
