What do you think of Panda Sunglasses? I work for the Daily Hookup. We feature deals that are usually 30-60% off. Right now, we're selling Panda. Their high-end sunglasses with bamboo frames.

I need a robust pair of sunglasses for the beach to replace the Oakleys I just lost there after fifteen years of hard use!

I also have a very large head.  Any recommendations for something light, practical and sporty?  I give not one shit about the brand, just a decent pair of polarised shades that actually protect your eyes from sun and sand.

I have a pair of Revo Heading's (http://www.revo.com/models/68-headingtm.html) and like them a lot - sturdy but light. Not sure whether they would work with your "very large head" but they have other similar pairs that appear to be larger, for example (I think both of these are larger):

Bearing - http://www.revo.com/models/73-bearingtm.html

Not sure what you're looking to spend (though if you had Oakleys, I'm assuming that you don't mind spending more for good glasses), but most of the Revo's can be had for well under $200 if you look around a bit, have great lenses, and I've got nothing but good things to say about them (for disclosure, I've had Maui Jim, Persol, Ray Ban, and various others in the past, and IMO, the Revo's are at least equal to, or better than, every other pair I've ever had).

If you want something stylish and afordable these here might be an option as well: Classic Wayfarer

But it all depends on your preferences and your style...
