Hi Guys ~ I was wondering if I might ask some of the shoe experts here a question about my new Belgravias and the fact that they arrived a full shade away from one another.

I hadn't noticed the difference and wore them for the first time last weekend when I had guests over to my place for dinner. At one point, I looked down and thought to myself "These shoes are two different shades." I asked my guests and they agreed.

My question is whether or not the lighter shoe will eventually "catch up" with the darker one. I got the last pair in my size during the recent Stanley Korshak sale.

Keep them? Treat them? Return them? Stop obsessing and enjoy?

You can probably get the lighter one a few shades darker with some work but you'll never be fully satisfied IMO.

I'd return them.

^ Thanks, Malford. That reiterates what the most knowledgeable guest at the dinner said. I was hoping that oxidation might help, but I guess the darker shoe would oxidize at the same rate.

I hope that my wearing them on hardwood doesn't preclude returning them. They did get some surface scratches from the wood. Nothing like concrete or pavement would have done, but scratches nonetheless.
