Does anyone find their quality to be inconsistent? Just got a Vintage Ivy shirt that feels really low quality compared to what I'm used to. Long loose thread sticking out one side (sure I can snip it off, but still). Very messy buttonholes: threads in the holes, likely sewn first then cut.

Other Ivy shirts I've seen don't have these issues.

I’ve purchased 20+ kamakura shirts over the years and I’ve always found them to be very consistent in terms of sizing and quality. Not sure if that has changed recently but they increased all their prices a couple of months ago supposedly to cover rising costs etc.

They have good customer service so if you’re not happy with the shirt I’m sure they would offer you an exchange/refund.

is there a problem with the website? There were dozens of newer shirts last night (Sea Island cotton, etc.) and now they’re all gone. The inventory has totally changed and I see some older shirts that I purchased a year or two ago, but have not since been available.

Anyone have any experience with Kamakura Vintage IVY OCBD shrinkage? Im sort of between sizes on their chart, and want to be 16.5 x 35 after wash.

their 16 says 16.5 (pre wash?) but only a 34.5 sleeve
their 16.5 says 17 x 35.5 again don't know if thats post wash?

Thanks in advance for any assistance

They used to have a disclaimer in fine print at the bottom of their size chart that said something like "the shirt you receive will be slightly bigger than the measurements on the size chart to account for shrinkage". Not sure if that has changed. Kamakura customer service is usually helpful - if you email them they will give you some recommendations too.

I have an appointment with Kamakura for MTM shirts next week. What should I expect? What should I bring?

Based on my experience, wear something that’s decent fitting and reflects the overall style you’re going for. Junko is great, but suggest being specific as to what you’re looking for from a fit standpoint, as my first few shirts ended up on the “slimmer side” than what I was expecting. Additionally, realize their MTM program has its limitations both style and fit wise, but if you work within those parameters, you will be fine.

Vintage IVY shirts from Kamakura Shirts this year are cool. I got Graham's postcard.

I recently picked up the green madras shirt from the Vintage Ivy line. Really like it - great colors, super soft and comfortable. The only "downside" is the six button front which makes it so I have to either wear it tucked with higher waisted pants or untucked (with two buttons open) if I'm going for a beachy/summer look. Not really an issue but I'm used to a 8 button front.

My favorite shirt is one from them that is a broad striped blue and white shirt with the 6 button front. The clearly summer shirts like that work best untucked and are a bit of a godsend. You will enjoy the shirt.

I have come across Kamakura Shirts and am interested in their linen open collar short sleeve shirt. Does anyone have it to comment on it?

Question. When doing MTO on the Kamakura website you can choose barrel cuffs. After that it asks for either "convertible" or "tennis". I know what convertible is but what is meant with tennis related to the cuffs?

Anyone have measurements on the Kamakura Ivy shirt collar height and button down spread? I know the points are 3", but not sure about rest.
