Kamakura Shirts - Madison Ave Store - Page 64

Is it just me or has it been awhile since they had new shirts for their standard tokyo lines. I used to have to check in everyday to see if there was new offerings but now, not so much...

Are their white dress shirts see through at all? Looks like they all have some sort of pattern so that should help with the sheerness...

I've been following this thread for a while and finally had the chance to go to their store in NY this past weekend. The main reason was to get a feel for the fit difference between Tokyo and NY slim fit shirts. I also had the chance to look at their other acessories and I'm curious of people's opinions of their ties and belts. The ties looked and felt good in person but other thoughts/insights would be appreciated. How do the ties stack up against some of the other tie companies discussed on this forum (for instance, vanda/panta/conrad wu). The belts also looked fine and were at a palatable price ($70) given I have been considering purchasing from Equus for ~$120.

I'm still curious about the collar on the linen shirts (as well as general impressions). I've searched the thread and looked through the pictures. Anybody have any feedback?

e: screw it, I ordered one, will report back

All of the above.

Does anybody have a university stripe ocbd in blue/white? I'm trying to figure out the stock number so that Kamakura can tell me when they'll have those back in stock.

This thread can be summarized into two questions.

1) How do the shirts fit?

2) When the hell are they going to make more OCBD's in anything other than pale blue, white and unwearable?

I don't think I've seen any cotton/linen shirts of theirs in a knit version.

They have one linen cotton blend knit that has a very unusually large open weave for a shirt. I didn't like it.
Their woven cotton linen shirts are 55% cotton 45% linen. I saw white, blue and white w/ blue stripes with spreads plus white and blue bd's.
The percentage of linen is higher than I'd have preferred so I didn't buy any.
