Visited earlier, bought some shirts. Very nice salespeople.

The linen shirts size small are fairly short IMO, body is probably roughly accurate to the 16-34 (I say roughly because I only tried the 14.5 and 15 in the tokyo slim dress shirting, and the size small linen was definitely more blousey in the body than the 15).

the sales person told me the linen cut is the middle of the tokyo slim and new york

Anyone from NY willing to proxy for me? Seems the online ships from overseas and with 20$ shipping and 20% duties.... hard to see it being worth it.

Probably not worth it, and UK custom is pretty good at catching duties...

I'm a 15.5/34 and just got my 16/35's. Didn't like the fit on the collar, so threw em in the wash on hot, and will tumble dry hot too. Will report results.

As a testament to how nice the staff are, they gave my girlfriend and I really nice hand towels as a thank you gift for stopping by.

Damn, tempting, though $180 sounds a little high

I am a 16.5-35 guy. I badly want one of those cutaways... Do you think I'd be insane to go with a 16.5 34 they offer?

You might wish to take advantage of the Hilditch & Key Summer Sale:

http://www.hilditchandkey.co.uk/

They produce excellent shirts
I have several and I wear 16.5 34/35.
I have a thick build and their regular cut shirts are
full on me. They do offer slim-fit, which I've never tried
However, if one buys a regular fit, it's very easy to have it altered
and not expensive.

I'm a 16.5/35 and I found the 16/35 to be a good, slim fit (in the Tokyo Slim Fit model).

jrd: I say this not as a shill - nobody is paying me - but I found the quality of Kamakura's fabrics, the fit and the finishing comparable to much, much more expensive shirt brands.

I've got two of the Kamakura OCBDs, and I love them.  Despite my best efforts, however, I've been unable to put my hands on the club collar shirt, which looks fantastic.  Does anyone happen to own one?  I'd love to see some pictures.

I just recieved two of the tokyo fit OCBD's in blue and white and I couldn't be happier. I'm going to order one more in each color before the end of the summer. They are taking a seat at the front of the line for my shirt rotation at work.

Stopped by today and picked up a linen shirt. Great casual shirt though a bit short to work tucked in.

They will be introducing a "special" anniversary OCBD as a way to celebrate the 1 year opening of their Madison ave store.

Agreed. It's higher than I expected.

Not sure if this has been pointed out, but it looks like they have increased the sleeve length of the New York Slim Fit 16 1/2 from 36 1/3 to 36 1/2 on the newer shirts. I may actually try one now as that was what was holding me back before.
