Also Alec Baldwin as "The Shadow" (1994). There is a scene in which the villain complements him (as Lamont Cranston) on his tie.

It has been mentioned, but +1 on "The Inside Man"... Denzel has some great clothes, although I don't imagine too many detectives wear tan checked suits or French cuffs in real life.

The British TV series "Campion" features some pretty good English country wear, and some great evening clothes, as well.

Oh, and the Iron Man movies were actually not too bad, sartorially speaking. The bad guy in the first one had some great odd jackets, and some of the clothes in the second were pretty good, too.

Poriot and Jeeves and Wooster. Great outfits.

This thread never dies, does it? I think this is the third or fourth time it's been resurrected. :)

Most of my favourites have already been picked out. I have to say, though, I'm still waiting for a self-adjusting jacket like Marty's in BTTF2. Would save me a few trips to the tailor!

Great Gatsby 1974. A sample is in my Avy.

I don't think Trading Places (1983) has been mentioned yet. Dan Aykroyd's character (Louis Winthorpe III) and the two Duke brothers (Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche) wear upscale clothes in many of the scenes. An exception to me: The suit Mortimer Duke (Ameche) wears in the scene in which his brother Randolph (Bellamy) explains what their firm does to Eddie Murphy's character does not look especially upscale to me, given the role he is playing. Does anyone else here who has seen this movie agree?

I love the dinner jacket scene in Casino Royale. One of my favourites, in terms of wardrobe, as well as a great movie.

007: I have a dinner jacket.

Vesper: There are dinner jackets and dinner jackets. This is the latter. And I need you looking like a man who belongs at that table.

007: How--? It's tailored.

Vesper: I sized you up the moment we met.

Casino Royale is one of my top sartorial films. Quantum of Solace is related by default I guess, love the style in both films (the navy cardigan and Tom Ford clothing)

edit: Craig's Bond and ^^^Inception are my favorites for modern style.
