Hey all,
I am considering getting fitted for a suit for job interviews. I'm wary of going into the fitting without knowing something of what I want, so I'm looking for some fashion suggestions.
Here goes: I have very long legs and a short torso. I also have a big belly and wide hips. Combined with the short torso, this basically means I don't really have a well defined waist.
In pants, I wear a 52 inch waist and a 34 inch inseam. I'm about 265 pounds and 6' 3". I'm trying to lose some weight but I don't anticipate it changing my waist measurement more than about 4 inches.
My main concerns are that wearing pants with a longer rise (which I tend to prefer as they are more comfortable) with my shirt tucked in makes my torso look quite short. Also, the jacket I have now doesn't really reach around my belly, and is too small in the shoulders for me to comfortably reach behind me. I get the sense that this isn't a huge deal as most people don't wear their suit jacket closed, but how close should the jacket come to reaching all the way around?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to shirt or suit jacket features that I should look into? I also run very warm and often find myself getting hot in stuffy buildings. What would be the coolest material to wear?
I'd appreciate any advice that anyone can provide. I could use all the help I can get!
Thanks.
