You'll break a suede shoe just as quickly as calf if you wear it every day. A nice thing about suede shoes is you don't have to polish them. Regular brushing takes a few seconds and keeps them looking great. But if you wear them every day, you'll tear them apart.
And be sure to use a good quality shoe tree for at least two hours after you take them off. This will help deal with the moisture, which will preserve the leather longer.
