G & G and EG shoes on sale at Edwards of Manchester - Page 29

Got an email from Mark, the reminder of my order has been fulfilled, which included shoe trees and insoles.

They had my shoes in stock, which are a pair of EG and G&G , Mark sent them out earlier since they weren't getting the shoe trees any time soon.

I got my Galways today. They were ready just before Christmas but i told Mark to hold the shipping because i had a long business trip coming up. I'm really happy i didn't give up and ask for a refund, they came out better than i hoped for.

They look awesome.

I was told by Mark today that my Galways still have not arrived.  Part of me just wants to give up and get a refund, but seeing these gives me hope...

think of it like this, you will highly unlikely able to purchase a pair of new EGs at that price, I guess the wait is alright.

But then I have also received faulty G&Gs from another vendor. The important thing is how the vendor handles the issue - eg offer a full refund or get G&G to make you another pair.

I think you misunderstand me.

I'm never touching the brand, G&G again, nothing against the vendor.

My galway got delayed again... So I had to draw the line and ask for a refund. If EoM had been up front and at least communicated throughout I would have probably kept the order. Going forward skoaktiebolaget will be getting all my business...

Yes last January, here is the recap. I ordered EG MTO but EG sent me a shoes in wrong color ( I ordered Acorn antique but EG sent Edwardian and claimed that it's same base color I should just polish it to the shade I want??????). I returned this order and exchanged for a pair of G&G back in September.

Indeed, I believe that's English expression not American. What surprised me really is that EG would say "oh it's the same base color you can polish it to desired shade". This made no sense to me at all. Anyways all is well that ends well.

All's well indeed.

I happen to think regardless of where you reside the customer is always right.

Glad it worked out for you.

Good to hear! I ordered a pair of GG that was flawed and i sent them back. I asked EoM if i could order something else from GG but after three or four emails i gave up and took a refund. Glad i got my Galway since EG seams like a bitch to work with. From all the stories i hear i think EG think the saying is " The customer is always wrong and should be forever thankfull that we alow him to buy our shoes" smile.gif
