G & G and EG shoes on sale at Edwards of Manchester - Page 25

According to the Jermyn St guys, EG are " cutting out ( Sky Valet etc) many
Of their resellers, as they are struggling to produce inventory
for their higher volume clients as well as their own needs.
Supply & demand.
Quality problem for EG - which can only keep prices
heading in a Northerly direction ...

who are their higher volume clients, and EG only got a few stores...

Ask for a refund or keep waiting. Not sure what other options you have?

I can only assume some of the higher end Men's stores here ( Korshak, Axel's, LS, Leffot etc) and perhaps the Japanese market. Purely speculation on my part.

Don't forget BB.

There is also Double Monk here in Australia that sells EG.

It is the polar opposites of information that is alarming. EoM, over the phone, speak as if everything is 100% fine. They're getting stock in 5 weeks, everything will be sweet. Yet people have been waiting 8 months!!

So any updates here. Anybody received their orders?

Depending on when you ordered, EoM is not being supplied with anymore EG shoes from EG, until 2014 - at the earliest.

Assuming you didn't order, a long long time ago.

I ordered back in January of 2013 and received my order in August but Edward Green made a mistake so I returned that order and exchange it for a pair of G&G back in September so I am waiting for delivery of those I should probably get those by the end of the year. I was just wondering how is everybody else doing. I am really getting sick of Edward Green shenanigans.

I don't know whether Edward Green is to blame, or EoM.

As far as I am aware, business is usual between EoM and G&G. If they didn't have stock in September it could easily be an 8 week wait as G&G has a very tight manufacturing process.

Haven't received my tetburys yet from the last sale. Will call them up tomorrow for an update.

I don't think it's anything malicious on their part. EG, G&G and C&J are in high demand.

Same story here!  Ordered my C&J's at the last sale and have not received yet, To be fair, I was offered refunds twice but decided to stick with order as the lead time at every communicatios was a few weeks, extended into months now on a combined basis.

if no shoes by the new year, I will call quits.

Mark is responsive but I would rather like to know that merchandise is out of stock before I order, not after  pay fully!

I am so sorry about you guys' stories

To be fair, I am one of the customer in last January sales.
I purchased a pair of EG Westminster.
It was delivered after one month since payment.

Wish you guys have your shoes very soon

I don't know what's going on at EoM right now, but I've gotten very good service. They worked with me last Spring to order a pair of EG Westminsters at their sale price, even though the Westminsters weren't listed on the website and they didn't have them in stock. The shoes were delivered only 2 weeks after their estimated delivery date. Then, on a Sunday in September I ordered a pair of C&J Tetburys that were in stock and I had them by the following Wednesday. So they shipped from the UK to the US in three days!
