G & G and EG shoes on sale at Edwards of Manchester - Page 21

Though I do find it strange that EG takes 2 weeks to ship out in stock items, as Mark told me when I placed the order.

What's going on with EoM? Is EG still supplying shoes to them?

i guess you are in the same boat as most of us here, haha. Are your shoes in stock? I am apparently waiting for shoe trees as my shoes are supposedly in stock. Never knew it'll take so long to send a pair of shoe trees from Northampton to Manchester but I'm told you have to be very patient with EOM, they'll get your shoes to you in due time.

haha, all the same, waiting.

I am a reasonably patient guy when it comes to MTOs and such. I know much can happen between order and delivery dates, rendering the latter less than certain. But when it comes to an in-stock purchase, I do kind of expect that the shoe will be shipped promptly - as in the next day or a day or two after at most. "In due time" really does not compute for me in the context of an in-stock purchase. It's not like the vendor would be willing to accept payment "in due time".

Or perhaps I'm just grumpy on a dreary Monday morning.

No, Roger, I totally agree with you, it shouldn't take 4 weeks for them to receive in stock items from the EG factory, something isn't right.

I've requested a refund on my purchase.

They sell authentic EG shoes, correct?

I spoke to Hilary Freeman during the Trunk show at Skoaktiebolaget this friday and told her I've ordered a Galway from EoM in January and that i haven't got them. She told me that they didn't supply EoM longer and that they sent all orders that should be sent. She said that they ordered so many shoes that they got a limit for 2013 and reached that limit in early spring.

I'm sending Mark an email to ask what's going on. My patience is running out since i just got they refund from the GG i had to send back and lost 15 pounds on PayPal fees because EoM didn't add enough and i especially asked them too...

So EoM is an official stockist for EG, but they reached their quota for the year?

Yes, Hilary said March/ early April.

Edit: she told me as i wrote in the first reply that "We don't supply EoM longer". Didn't ask if she meant forever or until 2014.

Just call EoM up and ask them directly. I've spoken to Mark before and he was very friendly.

^ Interesting, since I'm still waiting on a pair from the January sale. A standard model, just not one that EoM stocks. I've emailed EoM several times and been told that EG is very busy and having difficulty sending out stock.

Indeed.
