FWIW, I have these and they are great. Worth buying at full whack, but those are an amazing bargain.

They do have the Galway in Dark Oak / Mink Suede on the 82 last. They should be able to get a different combination for you as well.

If you ring or e-mail "Mark Firth" and tell him "Roger from London" referred you, he will sell you other models without the upcharge, no questions asked. "Roger from London" is an ex policeman who is now apparently an exclusive fashion advisor.

I had a pair in Oxblood, so I know how good they look. I had to get rid of them because they were too large. Wintip was my point of reference when I made my post. I purchased a pair, it was a no-brainer once I realized I'd save $400

Yup, at that price it is a no brainer, but after trying on a St James II I can't get myself to take that final leap, even at this bargain price.

The "chocolate" Miller would be nice tho!

did you guys notice F fitting for the EGs?
The G&G also have F fitting (apart from the St. James)

My Canterbury is in F fitting.

Was considering the grant but it is an F on the TG73. If the EG E888 fits me great I'm afraid a G&G F will be too wide... I guess I might have to pass on the Grant and get the C&J Weymouth instead...

I simply asked Mark Firth for an "E" fitting and he e-mailed me back confirmation saying "done"

Since EG doesn't have my size in stock it will take about 6 weeks for delivery, but the price (shipped) of ca. $705 is less than I could get on ebay, if the shoes ever appeared.

Let the feeding frenzy begin (with apologies to those of you guarding your wallets).

I assume trees are not included? Thanks.

I had to pay extra for my shoe trees, but even the shoe trees were cheaper than I have ever paid on eBay. I paid $90 each for the shoe trees, and the added confidence that they really do fit the shoes.

Bargain!

Nope. But shoe trees are also 20% off and less VAT.

I will be placing an order for some EG staples, black Chelses and dark oak Dovers.  Thanks for the heads up!

I ordered my Westminsters in a standard EG make-up (UK size 11.5E, 888 last, dark oak), so I'm not sure of the limits of what they'll do. Upon looking at the catalog, maybe I should have asked for "nightshade", which looks like some dark shade of purple(?).

I did notice the F fitting, which should be wide for EG (their standard US D width is an E), so I specified UK size 11.5E in my emails.

I assume that shoe trees are not included at the price I paid, so I'll be thrilled if my shoes arrive with trees included.
