I got mine today - a pair of EG they had in stock and another pair that needed to be made by EG but Edwards did not impose any MTO charge. Though long overdue, the shoes were worth the wait. Mark was extremely helpful. Definitely will be buying from them again (hope they do have a winter sale on EG again!).

I'm still waiting on a pair of EG from the last sale! smile.gif

Would it be redundant to have a pair of G&G St. James II in vintage rioja and a pair of Vass OE II in oxblood? I have neither at the moment but want both.

Very similar, but Roja will have antiquing on toe. Styles are very similar.

1. Why would you want two pairs of shoes in similar style and colour?
2. St James II in vintage cherry is extremely nice. Maybe you should get them instead of vintage Rioja? BTW, do you have to go MTO for vintage Rioja at Edwards?

I have many pairs of black cap toes, they go on rotation and I like the simple elegant design in black. satisfied.gif

Anyone know how accommodating they are with ordering models not listed on their website? I just emailed them about picking up the C&J Westbourne in black even though they only list the chestnut version (which I already have) on their site.

I asked them yesterday regarding ordering an F fit Hallam, and said they only offered the discount on items listed in stock. So in short, I was unsuccessful in that regards frown.gif

Yep, they just emailed back. It's only for items on the web site. Oh well.

Because they do have some differences in design, the lasts are different, I like both, and would then have two similar shoes that I could put in rotation. But since Mark isn't going to do special orders this time as part of the sale, it looks like I'd have to go with vintage cherry, if I want to get a pair of St. James II.
