Love your work Foo.
Best bespoke commission ever? I think so. *** PICTURES ADDED FOR THOSE LACKING IMAGINATION - Page 3
I love the drama of a good overcoat, so can really empathise wiht your pleasure in getting a nice one. Congratulations!
I personally would like the back pleat to be (a little bit) more closed when standing still, allowing for it to flare open when moving but as you're happy with the current styling, my preference is neither here nor there; it's your coat. :)
I have a not dissimilar plaid greatcoat, also with massive lapels and a belted back though mine lacks the turnback cuffs and has flap rather than patch pockets. I'm OK with the flap pockets, but would have really liked turnback cuffs (mine is only RTW and there wasn't enough length in the sleeves for that). I do have epaulettes though, albeit they're hardly visible under the massive collar! These kinds of really heavy coat are absolutely perfect for subzero & snowy weather; I've been wearing mine a lot recently. Old pic of mine below, spoiler-coded so as not to seem like I'm infringing on your thread. I post it purely to acknowledge the fun of a dramatic overcoat.
