I'm bored at school and thinking of all the airplanes taxiing out, I was wondering what everyone's favorite airlines are. Mine, in no particular order-

1. British Airways
2. Cathay Pacific
3. Singapore Airlines
4. Virgin Atlantic
5. United Airlines
6. Korean Air
7. ANA All Nippon Airways
8. Austrian Airlines
9. Lufthansa
10. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines

I work as an intern in BA International Transfers, based at Dulles. If you are moving from a domestic USA flight to one of our international flights your ticket will come through us at some point just to make sure you've cleared customs and all that good stuff. I want to work as a pilot for BA someday so it's a start.

Are you going to join the USAF or the RAF?

Emirates far and away the best I have flown.

Singapore are good, Cathay are good.

Never flown on any US, Euro nor Australian airline that I would put in the same class as those. Air New Zealand is OK.

The antichrist. Beyond that, I'm fairly agnostic.

When I was training to get my private pilot's license, and I had aspirations of flying commercially, I also wanted to fly for British Airways.

You should consider applying to Embry Riddle.

Or at least on time. I hate to be late.

It's "OK".
It was made possible by my tax money.
After we ran the Swissair into the ground, you see.

Which airlines still have appearance and weight requirements for their stewardesses? I've noticed that Asiana does; I assume others in the Far East do so as well.

Even if physical hiring requirements are not written in the company manual, it's obvious from personal experience that ANA, KAL, Asiana, Thai Air, etc. only hire beautiful to extremely beautiful single women between about 5'4" and 5'11" and between 100 - 125 lbs ranging in age from 20 - 29.

Singapore Airlines hiring requirements for flight attendants:

1. Female
2. Asian
3. Aged below 25 (retirement age for SA stewardess is 35)
4. University graduate
5. Minimum height of 158 centimeters (5 feet 2 inches)
6. Fluent in spoken English
7. Good vision.
8. “Slim and attractive with a good complexion and warm personality” No visible blemishes scars or tattoos
