Very nice car. Idnt have had the heart to part with it. The concept of not needing or having or enjoying a car is very odd to me, but i havent lived in your kind of city.

Are you sure that it was a legit sale? What I mean is that there are a lot of scams around right now with fake checks. I am trying (not very hard) to sell a 03 325 and I have been approached on a couple of these scams.

Someone saying that they are coming from Seattle is a red flag.

For your sake - I hope it's all good.

If anyone's interested in a 2003 325 - let me know.

Yes. If you are going to fake a check - might as well make it a cashier's check.
I mean is it really that hard to get an M3 in Seattle?

Oh yea I know. I was contacted by so many people who wanted to send me a cashiers check for more then the asking price...theres a bunch of scam artists out there

However, the guy who bought it is a friend of my dads friend who is actually a bank manager. He was here from Seattle a couple of months ago and really liked the condition of the car and considered buying its since he was in the market for a car and thought this was practically a brand new car. He called back a few weeks ago saying hes going to be back in town and that he wants to buy it and planned to pick up the car so he can have it shipped back. The check or paper work was all notorized by a bank and was sent to us a couple weeks ago. And he's also the manager of a bank which we know through someone else so I am pretty sure he is not ripping us off...

I live in the MD area too (Greater Baltimore) - I actually found my BMW 3-series for less money in VA than near Bmore. Probably because there is more competition down there.

You should consider advertising it in the Baltimore area as well. Toss it on both the DC and Baltimore Craiglist sites (maybe Philly too) and you'll probably get some reasonable offers.

The E46 is one of the most popular, if not the most popular M3 body style - people still snatch them up quickly!

hmmm.... any chance you would want to trade for a 2003 Black on Black 325 with the premium package + cash? ;-)

^^^He already sold it. See the post directly above yours.

DOH! I guess I should have paid more attention

If the E46 M3 was a stock, I'd be short... I believe the new 135i will put some downward pressure on E46 M3 values. The 135i will offer similar performance and dimensions at a better price...and its a new car (with BMW service, etc.). The mechanical LSD and ///M heritage may be worth it to few enthusiasts, but they built an awful lot of E46s. The point being that sooner rather than later may be a good time sell. edit: oops, saw that you sold...nice move.
