What is a better buy in terms of over quality, style, and appeal? Would love to see pictures if anyone owns either shoe, thanks!

Allen Edmonds McAllister Merlot?

Or To boot Windsor in Bordo?

The second ones appear slimmer from pictures, but I've always liked those Mccalisters. Was planning on grabbing a pair.

The AE hands down is better than TBNY. The AE has better construction, sturdier leather, returned to AE directly for recraft, and cheaper. Saying that, if the TBNY fits you better or if you prefer a thinner leather upper, then maybe TBNY is right for you.

Does anyone have any pictures of the Mcallister in merlot that they can share? I see a lot of walnut colored ones usually on this site. I already own a pair of walnut strands (which are excellent), so I want to diversify my color options.

I have them and can snap a few pics tonight or tomorrow. PM me to remind me and I'll get to it.

I would also be one of those with the McAllister in Walnut. For burgundy I went with the Cambridge in #8 shell which is basically the shell version of the McAllister. It is one of my favorite shoes and sees a good amount of use. I highly recommend the Cambridge instead for burgundy. Although there is nothing wrong with the calf McAllister either.

Cambridge last spring:
