I just got these Rockinhghams (size 9.5 UK) in the mail from Herring. The color is dark leaf tan and they're made by Cheaney in England. They are beautiful shoes, but, unfortunately, they're too big for me. I tried on one shoe on a carpeted floor, but otherwise, they're brand new, still in the box along with the shoe polish, bags and shoe horn.
Here's the description from Herring:
"The Herring Rockingham is part of our new wholecut collection and another example of fine English shoemaking. Handmade in Northampton and formed on the 205 last, the accentuated brogue detailing on the upper is hand burnished. The Oak Bark sole displays a classic London waist and hand channelling of the welt stitches means they’re hidden from view."
You can see the listing here: http://www.herringshoes.co.uk/produ...258&selectedsizeid=15&selectedfitid=2&stype=1pe=1
They ordinarily sell for about $500 but I got them on sale. I am listing them at cost (actually a bit less than my cost when you factor in shipping and customs duties). If there isn't any interest here, I'll return them to Herring, but thought I would check here first, since sending them back to England is a bit of a hassle.
The Rockinghams don't seem to be show up when you look at the Herring website anymore, so Herring may be phasing this model out. I borrowed the photo from Herring, but the ones I received look just like the photo.
$325 includes shipping in the US. Outside the U.S. would be extra.
