What makes a Tom Ford suit a "Tom Ford" suit?

Is it the suit drop, the trouser drop, the amount of buttons on the jacket sleeve...?

What exactly makes a Tom Ford suit stand out from other suits?

The cut, structure, roping, cloth quality and hand work, for starters.

if you're asking such a basic question you don't really know anything about what makes a TF suit a TF suit, or for that matter any factors that make any designer suit different from one another. First understand what goes into suit design, then you'll be able to compare his versus others'.

but in short... the overall styling and workmanship. roped shoulders, padded shoulders, high degree of drop, wide lapels, high gorge, 5 (6?) button holes on cuffs with the first being larger, etc. in some cases crazy colors or patterns.
It's Zegna XXX (Couture) special version.
There's probably a lot more that goes into it, I'm not an expert, though I can recognize them a mile away.
