Do many people here not want to give a general geographic location? It seems like fewer and fewer profiles list that, and people often avoid giving location if personally asked. Not saying there's anything wrong with that (but, yes, it's in the USA). The requirement on, er, another site certainly is off-putting, and its implementation might have driven members away.
