Location of Members is Too Personal?

Do many people here not want to give a general geographic location? It seems like fewer and fewer profiles list that, and people often avoid giving location if personally asked. Not saying there's anything wrong with that (but, yes, it's in the USA). The requirement on, er, another site certainly is off-putting, and its implementation might have driven members away.

I never give my location, and frankly, the reason I'm still not signed up for this very website is that people often ask me when I post in various threads. I guess we St. Louisans are just a private people, you know?

I feel it is charming to see the world come together on a forum such as this one. How much we can all learn from one anothers country and trends and fashions.

Recommending local retailers. Maybe the lack of such discussion is a reason why people keep experimenting with the potential grenade that is online MTM.
