That's not a fair thing to say.

He's just not a very good actor.

The Great Gatsby is giving me a headache. There's no way it could be either good or bad enough to allow me to feel content hating or liking it, so I'll have to endure its sparkly mediocrity and the frustration of its mere existence. Part of me wishes it just got cancelled so I don't have to anguish over the ways it will surely be a cheap form of flattery. But I'll see it, because I can't resist.

I will see the new Die-Hard for sure. All other DH's were good movies.

I won't pay to see remakes or reboots on general principle. Forget about it.

Wasn't this the #1 movie the week it came out?  I don't even know what to say.

pretty much everything coming out in big theaters now. i've resorted to working backward, by decade, watching good ones i hadn't seen ever. people have called me elitist and snobbish for refusing to see the entertainment value in the trash they inevitably migrate toward upon release (regardless of what it is).

there's many good movies coming out this year. they don't have to necessarily be works of art. i'm sure 75% of these will keep me entertained from start to finish and be everything I could hope for in a movie.

There are two or three movies on this list that I have any confidence in, the rest could easily be shit.

As far as I'm concerned, these fit the premise of the thread admirably.

I'd also add in whatever quarter-assed merchandising vehicle comes out of the unholy Disney/Lucasfilm merger. Yeah, none of it will be this year, but the black hole of its shittiness is so strong that it can already be felt.

I'm stoked about Anchorman 2. There's a lot of humor left in that premise and cast IMO. I read the Kick Ass 2 comic and it was great, although the first movie went pretty far afield of the comic so who knows.

I loved Ender's Game as a kid but I don't really think the story holds up as an adult and have no faith in Hollywood's abilitiy to adapt it. Didn't they just make a lousy 20,000 Leagues movie a few years back? Either way, it's hard to get excited about that. The Great Gatsby movie looks like a kick in the crotch. Baz Luhrmann movies are so annoying.

I don't know if this is out yet, but I was pretty disgusted by the trailer:

The new Fast and the Furious trailer set my teeth on edge. Are they street racing in outer space now or something?
