Meermin vs. Magnanni

@mr monty,

I am not an expert, but it appears to be the general consensus of SF. There is less hand finishing of Magnanni vs Meermin. I have read comments that Magnanni shoes are "beaters", that is you wear them until they wear out and then chuck them. Of course, there are positive comments that at discounted prices, Magnanni are fine shoes for that purpose. That is why I was asking about how much price premium would you pay for Meermin.

I'm also shopping around for a pair of Double monks. Magnannis cost 1/3 more than Meermin. So Meermin it is!

Correct and good choice!
I kept my Magnanni's because i could try them on in a store and because I wanted them ASAP.
If i could go back i would definitively get Meermin's (and wait the two months). Just make sure to get your size spot on because returns will be a nightmare.

In my experience, Meermin may have some issues with quality control. I ordered a pair once, and it came with a strong glue smell plus some marks in the sole.
