Zegna "Fit Sav." -- what's this, a new Zegna cut?

I'd never seen "Fit Sav." on a Zegna label before, but here it is:

It's on a jacket with the newest label, made in Switzerland.

Anybody have any information on it?

What was the fit like?

I'm guessing the 'Sav' stands for Savile; can you say anything about the shoulder padding? Structured?

Im actually interested in the "EZS" under the client box. Usually Zegna mainline would be just "EZ" just like how tom ford would be "TF" and Gucci was "G something"

If Milano fit is soft shouldered with a short jacket, what would the "Savile" fit have
post #6 of 21
I get the impression the last couple of years a few new sublines have come out. Including variations of the Milano.

Milano short?

Sorry I never got to respond to the questions -- I don't know about the fit, but it had the most recent Zegna label, the smaller black square with white border stitching, so it couldn't have been more than what, 2 years old? It's gone now, so I can't go check anything else about it, sadly.

Has anyone else seen the label?

I should have known you'd know!

So, what's the fit like? And why's it so uncommon?

Its slimmer than my Roma or Milano suits, its quite trim. Im pretty sure this was reserved for mostly XXX Couture fits, mine is the only mainline Zegna Ive seen with the Savile fit. The only others Ive seen are couture.

edit - found a full length (with an extra 10lbs!)

Interesting. All the couture stuff I've got/seen are "Couture" fit. Hmm, I wonder: did Torino replace Savile? They seem pretty similar.

Wow, awesome fit Spoo! So in your words, the armholes are higher, the sleeves and chest are slimmer than the Milano? What about the Torino? How is it compared to the Milano?
