G&G Carlisle or EG Westminster?

I have a pair of EG Westminsters in black calf but wanted to add a monk in brown. Any thoughts or suggestions on either the carlisle or westminster in brown calf (vintage oak for G&G, dark oak antique for EG)?

G&G. I know that I am in the extreme minority, but I find most EG shoes boring.

I find G&G shoes with exception to shoes made on their classic last, generally to flamboyant, elongated, pointy, aggressively styled and feminine for my taste. I also dislike the high instep of G&G shoes, but I have only ever tried on one pair, so I am not sure if all their dress shoes feature the high instep or not.

I personally much prefer the more conservative and elegant style of E.G. shoes.

.

I was trying a Arran on DG70 this weekend and boy it is pointy, much pointier than EG 82 last. I have St. James on order in CG06.

I would personally go with EG Westminster or C&J Lowndes

+1 the one you have posted is a fad.

Vote for the Westminster here.

I have the Westminster and it's a great shoe. I also like how the straps aren't elastic on the EG vis a vis the C&J Lowndes/AS Ramsey
