I've got a lot of coding to get done this weekend and I've been in a rather foul mood the last couple days. Normally I listen to classical or opera at a reasonable volume (I'll occasionally blast 1812 or something), but today is a long overdue Nine Inch Nails marathon day and it is not being played at a reasonable volume! I will be listening to everything from Pretty Hate Machine to Beside You in Time. I started at 9:30 AM with Mr. Self Destruct. I guess I'll find out just how sound-proof these walls are.

Dang GQ! It sounds like you've got awesome taste in music. I usually listen to classical, piano or some kind of relaxing music during the day also. Whenever I get in that "mood", my assistant knows to NOT EVEN interrupt me because Metallica or NIN is blaring from my office (and I'm usually jumping around like some madman all red-faced and arms flailing) LOL. Anyway, hope you didn't get in too much trouble.

I mostly listen to opera and classical especially strings, but like others have some music that I play loud do when the mood takes me. I'm not into heavy metal/thrash but due to a short stint as a DJ during my university days, I listen to - Stone Roses, Charlatans, Happy Mondays etc

Oh and I do have headphones.

I wish I had my own office and could blast my own music. I use earphones with my Ipod Nano.

this brings back memories of my dorm room last year...my neighbors constantly complained that my music was too loud (I listen to everything...but it was mostly the metallica that got them knocking on my door)

they were a little silly though...they once complained to my RA that I was playing music too loud ON A SATURDAY EVENING...thats not nice.

this year, everyone hears my dance music, and I've told people to lemme know when it gets too loud, but so far no complaints, so

I hate that stuff

NiN is the only music of its kind that I listen to, which reminds me, I have to pickup the new album. OTher than that, it's all classical and opera ^_^

Then again, I'd imagine that a bunch of canons going off too early in the morning could be just as annoying heh.

I don't know if i want to listen to the new album. I suppose i should, he'll probably play a few songs from it at the concert next month.
