Shoe "balance" issue

I received a pair of C&J Harvard cordovan loafers in exchange for ones I returned due to stitching issues and noticed that the "balance", for lack of a better term, is off on the left shoe, as the shoe tilts inward as shown in the pics below. None of the 10 or so quality dress shoes I've owned have had this issue, and I can't overlook this considering what the shoes cost. Will the shoe "re-balance" once I wear them, and more importantly, could this potentially affect my walk and lead to foot or posture problems?

Curious about this too.

I have a pair of shoes that has this same issue but were bought on clearance so I didn't have an option to return or exchange them. The same questions crossed my mind. For what it's worth, I have not noticed any problem in comfort, walk, or posture with my shoes--the soul rests flat when I'm standing in them. They have not "re-balanced" after use, though. It would be helpful to hear from someone with more shoe construction knowledge.

I will answer your question with a question: do you think there is enough potential energy stored in the slight twist of a scrap of 1/4" thick leather to resist half the weight of a human body, such that it could possibly alter your posture?

Now, whether that twist reflects a QC/wear/longevity issue for the shoe itself is a completely different question and one I am not remotely qualified to address. But that would be my concern, rather than how the shoe would affect the wearer.
