Simple URL linking question

Thread Starter
I don't know how to connect text to a URL. For instance, if I want a text such as "my auctions' to link to my ebay auctions. All I know how to do is to paste in the URL, as I am doing below. Not very elegant! This is a simple operation but I've forgotten how to do it. Help.

For us non-techies. How would you change this link to Style Forum:

http://www.styleforum.net/index.php

so it would say Style Forum, and link instead of

http://www.styleforum.net/index.php

The little globe in the reply box () makes links. You can highlight the text you want to make a link, hit the globe, and then type or paste in the link. If you include italics and underlines it still works.

Code:
{URL="http://www.styleforum.net/index.php"]Style Forum[/url]

Replace { with [

Style Forum
