MA-1 Jackets Thread - Page 24

Looking for an uninsulated (or lightly insulated) MA-1 with a synthetic shell and a reasonably trim fit - the puffy ones, especially those with the wide ribbed waist of the original (Alpha, Buzz Rickson), don't look good on my short, somewhat stocky frame.

Recommendations? I think something similar to the Attachment model from a few years back would be what I'm looking for.

Thanks,
Hal

Anybody ID these two jackets ?? Damon Albarn wears these.. I thought the second one was Rick Owens or Alpha Industries but after searching .. it is not.. Any ideas ?? Also the first one ?
Thanks for reply ;)

It's not an actual military issued coat if that's what your asking, it's US AIR FORCE, not US AIRFORCES.

And the logo is the unofficial one used pre-1947

While the MA1 flight jacket wasn't introduced until the 1950s

Last Uniqlo take on the MA-1...

Ugh a bit too relaxed IMO.

I have a great ma1 which sadly didn't fit me, see sig, it's breathable and slim fit.

I'm assuming that's the Uniqlo U bomber? It definitely has the traditional boxy cut. The mainline bomber is cut more slim.

Yes indeed...

 The material is far better.

APC bomber is the way to go guys, bought it 2 -3years ago and no regrets.

Yeah but price. $50 for mainline MA-1, $100 (?) for U line, and $500 for APC. Just guessing here.

The APC ma-1 is $560 on eastdane.

And lmao APC has a low standard jeans now.

I always liked Rick Owens the best but can't justify the price.
