MA-1 Jackets Thread - Page 22

I had a slim model alpha and found that it was warm at 50F and could probably go colder, but the material was shitty so the heat retention was due to it basically being a plastic bag around your body with polyester batting.

My new Schott. Would love dual zips but very happy with it. The navy leather is really versatile.

Recently sold my TOJ MA-1.  Barely wore it because it was a bit too puffy for me.  Plus I was always scared of rain.

That navy schott looks really nice.  Solid purchase.

Also a was dissapointed with the quality of the zipper. Preveusly a had a mil-tec ma-1 and the quality was waaay better, but the sizing and fitting of mil-tec bombers is for short and bulky people only. Second part of the dissapointment was that the american brand jacket is made in china and the sizing is more appropriate for chinese folk. Mil-tec is still made in USA as the corcoran boots, maybe thats why the quality is much better.

Guys, please. Any opinions about the fit.

It doesn't look good zipped up. The tight hem combined with the puffiness of the jacket. Try pulling it down a little bit or wearing it open and posting another pic.

If you're going for the retro/authentic look then it might be ok.

Lucky. I got it for 50% off, sale should still be going on. Yes, Lucky Brand. I know. Sorry for delay, hope they still have some in stock. There's also an A2 and Perfecto model (both Schott) on sale.

That's crazy. Never would have imagined they carry Schott. Sold out in small sizes sadly but M-XL still left in that MA1

This is how it looks open.

What do you think?

I also have a ma 1 leather jacket from New Look.

How do you think, ma 1 style jackets dont look wery good on tall people?

It looks better unzipped. Kinda hard to tell how it fits in with everything without seeing the pants and shoes and because the arm is raised taking the photo. It looks fine though

Do you know what kind of hide this is? Offhand I would assume lamb or calf?
