Is this the regular or slim fit version?  Nordstrom says it's trim fit but it looks puffy to me.

BTW, slim fit version sizing question.  I'm 5'7" with 38" chest, 31" waist and muscular build (160lbs).  Should I go for XS or S on the slim fit version?  I'm in between the 2 sizes based on my chest and waist sizes using the Alpha fit guide.

looks way too round...

I wear the regular one almost every day. It's a bit short but it doesn't bother me and I actually like the roundness.

MA-1 are round, what do you expect? Extended body and square like Rick or hardly filled like several other fashion ones is a deviation that I wouldn't wear myself although they're allright. If you don't like the by default shape of MA-1 maybe wear something else?

Как дела долго не говорили

Yes most are around, however I have aPC version it's actually slim and warm. I went out of my way to get a version that is not overly round. In general I don't mind shape but alpha version is very round, I tried it on and returned immediately. Hey!

Alpha is very 80s skin, maybe you needed a more fashion one. I personally don't like MA-1 that are too soft (not enough filling) so that's my pet peeve. Sometimes it is by labels that want to slim everything (slim suits, slim jeans etc.) and it sucks. APC usually have nice basics, better to get at discount though, prices have risen a lot.

right thats why i ended u with APC, RO just wasn't comfortable and cost like 1k so i didn't want to deal with that. i ordered APC and it just worked, so i kept it.

i tried effin leve, aplha, some others in stores forget names.

sometimes a simple nice quality slim fit is all one needs. warm as heck too

Anyone has experience with Rothco MA-1?  They are available on eBay for $33 new shipped.  I'm wondering if they are legit.

Agree.  I bought an Alpha regular and a slim fit.  Not liking the way they look.  Way too puffy in this day and age.  I'm returning them.

So general consensus on Alpha MA-1 is good or bad..? Looking for an olive/army green MA-1 and while I prefer one Acne did a while ago, they're 500 USD second-hand which is a bit pricey for me atm

The construction is good but the way it fits is an acquired taste.

What should be the proper fitting for MA-1?  Should it be snug fit to the point of slightly tight around the chest and without much billowing like a denim jacket?

It should be a size XXL and make you look like a lollipop.

Recently got meself a alpha ma-1 large and tall size (cause im tall) jacket. How do you think it fits me? Should i get i size larger, because this one is to short? Or its normal?

Also a was dissapointed with the quality of the zipper. Preveusly a had a mil-tec ma-1 and the quality was waaay better, but the sizing and fitting of mil-tec bombers is for short and bulky people only. Second part of the dissapointment was that the american brand jacket is made in china and the sizing is more appropriate for chinese folk. Mil-tec is still made in USA as the corcoran boots, maybe thats why the quality is much better.

Is the Alpha MA-1 slim fit really made for temperature between 25-40F?  I don't find it that warm with temperature in the upper 40s to low 50s plus wind chill outdoor.
