This board doesn't use [img]. You have to go to source and input the jpg files as <img src="[FILE HERE"/> to inline images to your posts. Or use the upload feature.

you should size down. the shorter sleeves and body length will still look good on you.

Woulda medium(tall) ensure my doubts in the jacket being too short?
Basically i am looking for a slimmer fit but do to the inside padding i understand the jacket will be poofy no matter what i just dont want it to look too poofy

I think the jacket in your photos looks good on you. A little poofy and long in the sleeves but not too bad. Body length is fine.

Going down to medium should give you a perfect fit.

Is the TOJ worth the extra money? It doesnt even look like leather in the pictures

It's a totally different animal and customizable lengths. You can also order it in leather.

Does the leather cost more?

Anyone have an Alpha reissue kicking around that can comment on the fit? Or can recommend a slightly longer, much slimmer than traditional MA 1 in navy blue?

Ok, so I just bought the Alpha MA-1 Reissued from Amazon and here's how it fit me.

I'm tall and slim: 6'4 and around 195 right now. Alpha recommend going up a size and I did so. I normally wear L in most things but this is XL and seems to be the right fit for me. Sleeves and body are long enough. The jacket isn't too "puffy" (as is the case with the regular MA-1 on me).

This jacket has apparently been discontinued. Here's a link to Alpha's page for this:

You  don't look slim on these pictures.

picked up the hotel manufacture ma1. great quality, especially for the price. cut fairly slim, but still heavy enough to make it appropriate for colder weather.

max r's review (http://www.styleforum.net/t/331428/ma-1-jackets-thread/0_70#post_6158904) is pretty accurate in terms of the sizing of the medium. fits me pretty well at 5'7, 39"-40" chest.

may cop the h&m ma as a kind of.. back up, cheap jacket. looks quite good from pics, just them pockets, they look so cheap.

for me personally, I have wanted this for a long time now, something about sp.

Also, the maharishi ma-1 doesn't look to bad
