Bartorelli Napoli Suits? - Page 2

no. i did not purchase the bartorelli suit.  i did a bit of my own research. bartorelli napoli and abito sartoriale seem to be from the same company.  they may be located in california and IIRC, they have registration in both california and new york.  there is no italian ties that i know of so i think they name their suits in such ways to sound like an italian company.  i do agree that the suits handle extremely well and the fit is almost RLBL-esque. they don't feel like an every day suit so i was not ready to experiment with $400. i ended up getting a black fleece.

maybe in a year or so and after a few rounds of dry cleaning, you would let us know how the suit fares? my biggest concern is its longevity - anyone can make a good fitting/looking suit but from a company with unknown reputation, quality is always a concern.  thanks.

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I picked up a Bartorelli Napoli suit yesterday at a "sample sale" at the same store on W. Broadway for $320. The suit fits great, and for the price, the fabric is some of the softest and lightest I've ever had - comparing with my (much) more expensive Pal Zileri suit. I'm a bit worried now because I can't find any information about the brand online, so I suppose only time will tell. It does fit and look great though.

How would one tell if the jacket is canvassed?

Thanks, and looking forward to contributing and reading this forum.

welcome to styleforum.  here's an article on how to tell if the jacket is fused or canvassed.

i'd agree with you that the fit and fabric are quite excellent. my own research indicated this brand was fairly new so only time will tell.  let us know after you wear it for a while and after a few runs of dry cleaning.

thanks

Hi, newbie here but have been reading the forums a bit to educate myself. I purchased one these suits about 3 weeks ago. It fit so well off the rack and I received compliments on it at work. I just purchased another yesterday. I agree we will have to see how the material and the suit holds up after some time, however for the price and the fit it seems to be a great deal to me. The fit is great (for me and others so far) and the price is low enough where you don't have to worry if it doesn't hold up for years and years. I will try and remember to report back after some time with them.

PS: Great forum, I have learned a lot so far, there are some really informative posts around here!

Some of these posts sounds suspiciously like the old postings from new users that used to pop up extolling the virtues of Baroni suits....

Is this company still alive?

I purchased one of their suits last month (I'm in California). I wanted to find out more about the original company. I called the number on the half out of service website, but the number was out of service ...

Anyone knows where to find more?

Cheers

Hey Doctorman:  I bought a Bartorelli suit and got a lot of compliments on it.  And, best of all, I feel great when I wear it.  I bought it from the same store in on SoHo that you guys noted before.  If anyone wants the address, I can give it to you.  I went there yesterday (Monday April 8, 2014) and their selection was very little.  They had no size 38 or 40 remaining at all.  So, what is the address of "Samme" on the Lower East Side so I can go there too?

How much do they go for nowadays?

its been almost a year since i grabbed a few of these suits. They have held up decent thus far. a few pills here and there , overall for the price I can't complain. I haven't been to the store since last year or so, therefore I can not comment if they are still around/ available. Well I know the store is still around (SoHo store). Figured I would drop in for an update.

@kulata- I was just trying to chime in with my experience picking up these suits, not sure why the lmao.

New to the forum. Just picked up one of these suits upstate New York. Looks and fits great. Will see how it holds up over time and report any issues. I googled the suit name as I have never owned this brand before and came across this thread/forum.

Thanks.
