For dinner, the R&G Lounge is just two blocks away. I was thinking that would be a fun place to head at 8pm. It has been a Styleforum favorite over the years.

Yes and a few other SF member visits. It is a good place for a well dress gang, plus only 2 blocks away.

I'll be driving, most likely from the UCSF building on California. Can any locals suggest a decent parking place nearby. I've already experienced the delights of SF traffic and the dearth of parking places! Any help much appreciated, cheers, TWD.

There is a garage just around the corner from Wingtip on Clay after Montgomery and another on Pine between Montgomery & Kearney (a couple of blocks from Wingtip). I'd call Wingtip and ask them for recommendations.

SF is an extremely casual city. I typically where a suit or odd jacket/trousers & tie to work and I rarely see more than a dozen men wearing coat and tie on any given day.
