Movies you watch and watch and.....

Most of the time, I'd rather re-watch an old favorite movie than see most of what is new these days. What movies do you love to re-watch? I'm listing chronologically by number of times watched. Prevalence of 80s action movies I'm blaming on my childhood but I stand behind Die Hard, the Terminator and Aliens.

Shaun of the Dead
Big Lebowski
Seven
Die Hard
Terminator 2
Aliens
The Terminator
Amelie
Fight Club
Miller's Crossing
National Lampoon's Vacation
Shawshank Redemption
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Rear Window
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Fargo
Dark Knight
Panic Room
Last of the Mohicans
Batman Begins
Trainspotting
There Will be Blood
Hot Fuzz
Pulp Fiction
The Untouchables
Predator
Usual Suspects
Collateral
The Blues Brothers
Intolerable Cruelty
Citizen Kane

javyn reminded me about Tim Burton's Batman. Much more fun than the Nolan stuff and Nicholson's Joker is more enjoyable mostly due to a better script.

If you gotta go, go with a smile.

Ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?

Speaking of Commando and Batman, my parents rented The Dark Knight Rises when I was visiting and I noticed in nearly every fight scene Selena or Batman do the cheesy Commando gun grab Arnold does at the beginning after his truck overturns and he's surrounded by Bennet's men (the one where he grabs a guy's gun and starts beating them all up even though he's surrounded by others with guns). The thing is, it only really happens once in Commando and Arnold is caught while in The Dark Knight Rises it happens in every fight scene and they're never defeated -- not to mention that it's fucking Commando.

Aliens

Fargo

Just watched both these again for the umpteenth time recently. neither loses anything on repeat views.

Goodfellas takes the prize for me for most repeat views. Greatest movie ever, so it's a pleasure to see again and again.

Heh, I rented the marquis at our historical theater and had my marriage proposal spelled out on it for my now fiance as we drove up to the midnight showing of The Room on Black Friday.

2 weeks later, we went again at the midnight showing and met Tommy and Greg.

Tonight....we'll be at The Room again at midnight lol. Got my spoons ready.

Just realized I left out #1 (Shaun of the Dead) and Hot Fuzz is steadily climbing the charts which is odd because I was kinda meh at first viewing.

SD1 if you like those, you might want to give Miller's Crossing a shot.

The first movie I saw by Edgar Wright was Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and I loved it. Then I checked and saw he did Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz as well, both of which my friends like but I avoided watching for various reasons.
