RMCH 2012 suit suggestions

Rather unexpectedly, I also won the auction for a Tiberias suit during Styleforum's Ronald McDonald House Charities auctions. I'm wondering what to get.

Nothing flash really although this will be my first 'made for me' suit - still haven't managed to get to Peter Lee for my blue linen DB. However since, I've already bought the linen fabric for that project from the Quality Seller, I've got another suit to think about. I'm leaning towards a three piece DB in grey, probably flannel. Probably something like this Saint Andrews suit that I got gazumped on last year:

Maybe go for patch pockets instead. Maybe a 2x1 like a favourite Kilgour suit would look less RTW.

Suggestions welcome. I'm not a bigtimer - just an average job but I like to wear suits to work.

The best advice I can give has already been said.

But lately that is the way I like everything.

Thanks, I have no problem with a 6x2. The other fabric I've been thinking about is a dark blue plaid similar to a Norton and Sons suit that I once had.

So the DB 6x2 above, three piece in this 340g VBC?

Any specific grey flannel recommendations please? I prefer hardwearing to super light/ soft fabric.

Finally got my RMCH 2012 suit from Tiberias! A DB three piece in grey flannel - Loro Piana Sunset which is a cashmere silk mix that is really luxe.

The delay was my fault, partly due to me getting to an 'ideal' weight with my Insanity/ P90X regime and then not knowing what fabric/ cut to get as I was then a bespoke/ MTO newbie. Now that I've had a few suits made by LeeBaron, I'm in a better position to judge the process. I got my tester suit tacked up by Peter Lee and the fit of this suit is great, pretty good for what is mail order MTO.

Tiberias has been great to work with, gave me great fabric choices and accommodating of my requests. The suit arrived well packed along with a lovely hanger from the Hanger project. I'll wear it tomorrow (Christmas eve)!

Hey ChoboChobo,

Great to hear that you finally got your Tiberias suit! Would love to see some pictures of it on you (with your 2012 RMCH StC perhaps?). I was introduced to Tiberias through the 2012 RMCH auction, and have had 3 trousers and 1 jacket made by them so far. Kevin from Tiberias has been a pleasure to work with.

Wore it today for the first time. Very nice, the fit is pretty good and the workmanship looks to be of a high standard also. The fabric is really soft and smooth. Nice job.

I was so impressed that I was considering saving it to wear as my daytime wedding suit, but I know I'd be boiling in this flannel in May in Hong Kong.

I was informed by Kevin from Tiberias that they are having 20% off on some fabric right now (I believe only house fabric such as anything listed from "Tiberias"). They do have some really nice Tasmanian Loro Piana Super 150s (wool + silk) at pretty reasonable prices.
