THE ULTIMATE TORONTO PSA! Brioni, Zegna Couture, Samuelsohn, Canali Exclusive!!! - Page 2

Hey any peacoats in size 38R? As well I'm seriously thinking of getting someone to proxy one of the Samuelssohn SC in size 38R.

I tried one on in Cashmere before which had some damage to it so that's why I never picked it up. The fit was impeccable though. Really would love to get one at $200 which wasn't much more than the Cashmere one was going for (with the damage).

Sorry I'm in BC, Canada.

Yes there was a brown herringbone 42R in geneva cut.

I got a grey/brown canali k jacket for $215 and dents suede gloves for $20

Sportcoats are getting pretty picked. No shoes left of any import. Seemed like lots of shirts left. No great value in the suits that I saw.

They had brown cashmere SCs for 200 in 38R; great pieces.

For shoes, they had a whole bunch of AEs for sub-$150.

And for shoes (if you're a size EU44), they had a pair of Cesare Firrao shoes for $375. They had some shopwear, but I think they originally retailed for $2k (handmade shoes).

I've never heard of or seen those shoes.

The funny thing about the HR outlet is that they sometimes have stuff that I'm sure was never in a Harry Rosen. 2 years ago I got a wool cashmere Caruso Sartoria Parma Sportcoat (which I've never seen in Canada, let alone HR) for $200

I saw those shoes at the Bloor loacation last year, but they didn't sell (price was 2k). Now they're down to $499 - 25%.

They also had a pair Giorgio Armani oxfords, but not that impressive.

I have to confess, I was selfishly focussed on my size (44) and didn't look beyond anywhere except sports coats.  I do recall a couple nice Armani sport coats in 42 - because I tried without success to find the equivalent in my size.

In any event, my info is now pretty dated.  I may be in the area tomorrow and if so I'll check things out, but the sale might be over by then anyway.

Sale on till Sunday.

I picked up a pair of those CF shoes back in the summer.  I'd never heard of them either, but they really had a quality look and feel to them.  I've been happy with the purchase.

I was there around noon.  They have definitely been adding in merchandise over the period of the sale, as there were a lot more Eton shirts in my size, whereas on Tuesday there were almost none left.

Quite a few Zegna and Armani sport coats still there.  I struggled to leave behind a brown unstructured Zegna casual sport coat.  Not a lot in the shoes section - but they did have a nice pair of Prada suede shoes in both 9 1/2 and 10.  Some very nice Zegna cashmere sweaters and cardigans as well for $80-150.

I left with a pair of Brax cotton twill jeans in black, an Eton dress shirt white/grey stripe with cutaway spread collar and a cashmere Zegna pullover sweater in, well, let's just face facts and call it pink. shog[1].gif  Hey, it looked good with the jeans and powder blue Armani shirt I was wearing at the time.

Nice haul! What sizes of sportcoats did they have left - anything in the 38R or 40R range, or mostly larger sizes? Were the prices for the Zegnas and Armani good?

I'm looking for a proxy on those Zegna cashmere sweaters......sz S/M.

Holla!

I can't say about 38's but I did see quite a few 40's and 42's.  The Zegna and Armani sport coats were $350-400.  Samuelsohns were around $200-225 and they even had some pretty nice (though kinda boxy) Harry Rosen store brand sport coats for $100-$125.

Here's the haul from earlier in the week:

How much were the Etro?

ETRO shirts were $29.99 each or 4 for $100.  Screamin' deal, IMO.

They also had Gant by Michael Bastian shirts for $29.99; is that a good deal?

Bunch of cheap ties too in the $40-$50 range (Eton mostly).
