Yep dude on the right (Fok's left) is me. Great day yesterday, today has only begun but ha started well. If you have any suggestions or requests post em here. Interview with Liverano scheduled for tmrw morning.

Oh, and o9ur intrepid writer interviews Luciano Barbera and Gianluca Isaia, two giants of tailoring.

I hope you guys ask Barbera tough questions like, "Now that you have sold to Ciro Paone, will Carlo Barbera fabrics be available for bespoke or only for Kiton RTW?"

Can you check if Liverano has any plans to visit the US (by that I mean NYC)? Are his prices really 4k euro per suit?

Didn't like those Church's... Better before the classic ones.

Had a great interview with Liverano. Got a lot of pics too, will post some soon. A very elegant and interesting man.

I will write more, but the answer is yes, he is very interested in coming to the US, and trying to find the right way to enter. If you might be interested, I would definitely contact him, tell him where you are, and just say that you have interest, and that you heard on SF that he was considering trips to the US. At the risk of sounding very picky, Signor Liverano's waistcoat looks to be too short.

To the best of my knowledge, Liverano's high prices are fairly recent (about the time of their partnership with The Armoury). When I was in Florence in 2009, Taka quoted me 2,500 euros for a two-piece suit in Harrison's fabric.

From what I can tell from Tommy Ton's pics, the practice of carrying gloves in the breast pocket in the freezing cold is making a strong comeback.

Remember this guy from last year, and like his coat:

That seems to be one of the more disturbing trends in menswear (yes, even more than some of the horrors we've seen in Pitti street photography).

I'm sure the suits are nice. And if they were 2500 EUR, I'd happily order one when I'm in Florence this spring.

Unless they're all stitched with gold thread, what I've seen can't justify that price tag. They're nice but not that that nice.
