Yeah native speakers and ESLers are about on the same level in colleges now. They still usually passed thanks to the bell curve. I had one prof who would straight out flunk morons, and I loved him for it. Seeing people getting papers back with "F! Imbecile!"


On topic, fuck all this. I like blues, I like stripes. I get constant compliments from the managing partners. Although I know I'm not "conservative" by definition, I still keep it respectful, and wear nothing I don't feel completely comfortable going to court in, so this goes into the category of "who gives a shit" in my book.

Sure some. But most are just as bad as natives. I've read papers by both ESLers and those who lived here since birth; both read like some Nigerian scam e-mail.

When I was taking business at mcgill and stuck doing team projects, I was completely shocked by how bad everyones' written english was. On one occasion, I essentially had to re-write a 10 page paper because all the parts that other people had written were a complete mess. This is a school that theoretically only allows kids with good grades to gain admission. It's proof of how low standards have fallen.

Instead of looking at grades, universities should have entrance exams.

Could you guys please just drop it already? This thread has very little to do with conservative business dress and more to do with making a mockery out of those who take their professional appearance seriously. If anything maybe you one of the moderators could change the title to: Business Conservative Dress instead, if so many here really find it necessary to continue this discussion. That title is much more accurate and less objectionable from my perspective.

Most of us take our professional appearance very seriously. I think everyone is just enjoying making a mockery of you.
