They just mean most jeans are vanity and theirs are not. They have measurements on there. Like a size 30 had a 30.5 waist.
I too will not be copping because of the fit.

But do they consider "regular size" in RAW denim or non-RAW ?
I wear a true 31 but when it comes to RAW I down size to 30 because of the stretch it will takes over time.
What size should I take then :) ?

So you've measured your best fitting pair of jeans and they measure 31" in the waistband? Based off my other Cone Mills selvedge denim jeans you're probably expecting around 1" in stretch so you should get the Gustin pair that has 30" waist. Also the denim is sanforized so you do not need to account for shrinking. By raw they meant untreated with any washes or distressing. Unfortunately they only have 29.5" and 30.5", I would probably go with size 30 to be safe based on the following fit guide:

I went in. I like the idea, and the jeans look good. Should be a vast improvement over what I currently have, yet a fraction of the cost of what it would normally take to 'step up.' Plus I was really pleased with the Flint & Tinder experiment, so I'm up to giving this a try.

If only a good shoe maker would do this. Can you imagine? Hey, everyone, we'll sell you a boot with Horween CXL, Blake welt, for $150, but only if enough of you pony up to make it worth our while...

Glad to hear about more cuts. I jumped in for a $50 pair on Kickstarter after Stephen from Gustin contacted me to see if I was interested in covering their launch on my website. He seems like a real good guy and I hope more American brands consider direct sales without the high markups. Here are my other thoughts (with pics): http://www.theamericanist.com/gustin-american-made-selvedge-denim-for-about-80/

I just got a Kickstarter update email from them. This project is really taking off. After only two days with an initial goal of $20K in 30 days they already have:

455
backers
$42,245
pledged of $20,000 goal
30
days to go

I really wanted to get them...but the cut is atrocious. I'm 5'7" and high rise jeans with large leg openings look incredibly blocky if you are not really tall. Too bad: I'm on the market for a pair of 100% US made selvage.

Waiting for exactly this. It says they needed $40k for more fits, and now that they have it, I'll be looking for a slimmer cut with a lower rise. And maybe a slightly thicker leather patch.

They are going to offer more cuts soon based on community feedback.
