is it possible to turn fat ties into slim ties

from what ive seen theirs the 3 inch, 2 inch slim and then the skinny.

ive got some nice patterened ties but theyre 3 inches but i would prefer a slim one, is it possible to do this?

I wouldn't. 3 inch ties are perfectly good, I'd keep them around.

You don't want to be wearing 2" slims with a double-breasted suit, or to that matter with anything peak lapeled. (EDIT: Some people here will say you don't want to be wearing them with anything, but I honestly think they are a bit too stiff.)

If you want to join the slim craze, get some slim ties. Tiebar.com is a good (and cheap) source for example.
