Will follow this closely and submit an entry

I'll enter the contest, mainly because I'm a poor and this is what would be my "perfect" suit.

Solid navy, three season wool. something very soft (super 120s). 3 piece. slimmer fit.

Coat:
Peak lapel
soft shoulders
pick stitching
double vent
1 button
ticket pocket
working cuffs
"crazy" piping and lining (maybe something similar to Seinfeld's striped lining on his suede jacket)

Pants:
double reverse pleat
2 in cuff
belt loops - no buttons for braces or side tabs needed
Slant pocket with a coin (?) pocket
very little break on cuff

ah to dream. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

As someone who's just finishing up school, your price point is within my reach but at the top of my range.

I would be looking for a workhorse suit. I will be wearing suits all the time (and will eventually need a wardrobe full of them). I would want wool that can stand up to regular wear, so nothing too fine. You would know better which of your cloths are best for that task. I would buy charcoal, or charcoal with a subtle stripe.

My environment requires conservative dress. So, as much as I love peak lapels and roped shoulders, I have to hold off on those kind of details until I have more seniority. I would get fully canvassed, and probably with an extra set of pants. Depending on how much vests cost, I may add one of those. I don't have any 3-piece suits, so that would be new.

I have a pretty large build, so I wouldn't want the lapels too thin. I would generally want the suit to be neutrally styled so that it can be worn for years to come. Lapels medium width, jacket traditional length. I would like subtle pick stitching throughout. The jacket needs to have two pockets for cell phones - one for a Samsung Galaxy S3 and one for a Blackberry. I need to carry two phones for work. I also need a pen pocket. I don't know where to hide these pockets best - would defer to you on this.  I don't want a ticket pocket. Front pockets with flaps, slanted. I would prefer the shoulders to be lightly structured. Surgeon cuffs with contrasting light grey last button. I like knowing that the buttons work. :)

I would like the pants slightly slim, but nothing that will look dated in a couple of years. Zip fly. Regular slant front pockets, w/pick stitching. No pleats, no cuffs. No back pockets, but maybe a flap on the right hand side. No belt loops. Buttons for braces.

Now I want to buy it. :)

Jacket: three buttons rolling to two, generous but not FU notch lapels, side vents, patch side pockets, flap breast pocket, horn buttons.
Trousers: flat front, button front, side adjusters, one back pocket.

It would be cut trim drop 8, softly constructed, partially lined, light to mid grey wool with elbow patches/back of collar/hideaway throat clasp all in suede, think Cucinelli or Loro Piana. Trousers would have suede trim near the front pockets. I have a pair of Incotex with this detail and I like it. Going for a dégagé look.

Fabric with some tech along the lines of Aquaspider, Storm System, Micronsphere, would be useful for travel. I'm picturing wearing the jacket with denim at the airport, stuffing it in a carryall bag, wearing the trousers with a navy sportcoat the next day, and putting the two together as a suit for a conference or meeting on another day. The casual details would not raise an eyebrow in my field.

And the trousers will have a split back because I'm lactose intolerant and have irritable bowels. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

a lot of interest in 3 pieces; personal favorite of mine.

Gotta admit, there's more love for pleats than I had estimated

keep the ideas rolling in!

flap chest pocket, not something you see everyday, remember seeing one on ryan gosling for some photo shoot, sounds a little strange, but actually looks pretty interesting. Do you have other suits with flap breast pockets, or something you just wanted to try out?

free suit? sign me up.

I'm graduating this year and need a suit for interviews and for several weddings over the summer. I also don't own a suit so.. anything would be better.

charcoa fabric,, 3 rolling 2, notch lapel, double vented, welt chest pocket, two welt side pockets, 4 internal pockets (two at waist level iphone shaped), fully lined but lightweight with completely unpadded shoulders

pants are slim, 1.75" cuffs, frogmouth pockets and two back pockets with buttons, and a belt keeper flap. button fly. i'd also like less deep pockets than most pants -- i find having a phone halfway down your thigh to be annoying, and don't know why most makers allow this.

I'm not sure if this happens to other Mac users but I can't navigate through the Tiberias website at all.

When on the main page, I'm not able to click on any of the links and access any of its content.

Same but I'm on a PC.  Tried in Chrome, IE, and Firefox. Maybe it's a placeholder?

As for a suit for entry into the contest:

A dark grey (not charcoal) flannel three piece.  Notch lapels  with a two button jacket.  Pants would be cuffed, side-tabs, with buttons for braces.  I don't have any designated winter suits right now, my wardrobe isn't nearly big enough, but this would be an awesome start.  We're on the way out of winter, but winter clothes are always more fun than summer clothes.

^ The site isn't live yet. You're correct, it's a placeholder jpeg. The lorem ipsum is a dead giveaway.

Cheers!

^ that was my suggestion in post 31 smile.gif but I don't think I'm in this competition. However I'd appreciate input into my RMCH suit.

I guess it's a 1960's Ivy thing. I just Googled that photo shoot - looks cool. I would not do a button though so the flap could be tucked in at times. My suits and jackets are fairly conventional ready to wear so this would be something different.

I'd like that flap to keep my cellphone from falling out when I'm horseback.
