Starting to research the outfit I'll wear to my wedding this coming July. Tuxedo and shirt are already chosen, or pretty much. But I need your inputs on a couple of other things.
Shoes: I'm currently trying to decide what shoes to wear. Black, plain toe, something formal but I don't want them to be patent leather because I want to be able to wear them outside of black tie events. I'm currently debating between Meermin black wholecuts and Kent Wang plain toe balmorals. I'm trying not to spend more than 400$ on the shoes. Which would you choose between the 2, or if you have any other ideas, don't hesitate!
Cummerbund: Yeah or nay? I like them, and I especially don't want to show some shirt under the jacket buttons if the trousers are too low waisted. If I chose to wear a cummerbund, can I still wear braces? Or both of them together would look ridiculous if I took off my jacket during the evening? Kent Wang has a nice one, but I'm wondering if there are some cheaper or budget-friendlier options.
Braces: What color? Initially I was going to go with white, but since my tux shirt will be ivory in color, won't white braces clash against the ivory shirt? Could black braces work? Or is there any other color permitted in black tie attire? What about the brand? I would like not to spend the dough on some Thurston, but still, I would like to have some decent quality.
I'd like to wear a thick, diamond-shaped bow tie, in black satin. Suit Supply has a decent one, Kent Wang as well. I know Sam Hober could also make me one, MTM. Any other suggestions?
Thank you guys, if I have any other questions, I'll come around and ask!
