as an 11B/C, I'm wondering if this is worth the stab just because of the price. Does anyone have experience going up half a size and down a width? I had to do it with some Chukka boots, but that's because of their weird sizing. Loafers are trickier with sizing for me.

Sorry, I missed this.

IMO these are a wide A width with a narrow heel so they might work for you.
However, I think it is more common to size down for loafers.
