Title says it all.
I have these black plain toe dress shoes from Lobb that I am trying to identify & appraise. I am hoping some here might be able to lend some assistance.

Here are some pictures:

They look to have very little/next-to-no wear and look to have been treated well and/or meticulously maintained. The heels stand out to me (aftermarket?) and I am trying to see if it is possible to figure out if they are shell cordovan.

Doesn't look like Cordovan to me, and judging from the two royal warrant stamps on the sole, this John Lobb should be fairly old since I believe they only have 1 Royal Warrant now. That's all I know about Lobb's. Good luck.

Yes, they look fairly old. Also look to have been re-heeled. I don't think its shell - I might be confusing Lob with EG, but I thought they didn't like to wokrk with shell. Although I suppose for the right price . . .

I sold a pair of black wingtips with the dual warrants perhaps a year or two ago. Condition seemed to be about the same although the heel was original. One shoe was actually 1/4 to 1/2 inch larger than the other and I still got about $700 for them. I think your price in the market will depend on how commonplace the size is, as well as how desirable the styling is. These look like a fairly standard style - generally speaking, there is more of a premium around here for shades of brown.

Lobb used to have all three British Royal Warrants; however, they no longer have the Queen's warrant.

You need to find out when Prince Charles gave Lobb his warrant and the shoes would pre-date that, the Royal Warrant website have help with that

Those are bespoke Lobb St James shoes. I agree they don't appear to my eye to be cordovan -- the creasing looks more like calfskin, as does the shine.

I would have guessed there is a handwritten number somewhere on the lining or tongue of one of the shoes, which would allow Lobb to identify them. Don't know if Lobb would be willing to do so however.

As to worth, always hard to say. Some Lobb bespokes sell for a pretty high price on e-bay, you should probably use that source as a guide to value.

Thanks for the help so far guys, I really do appreciate it.

As far as sizing goes they are not marked but I would say they are around an 8 1/2 in US sizing (such a shame they don't fit me).

I will be looking into this more and will try contacting Lobb (by the way, anyone know the best way to go about that?)
