Red Skin

The color of my nose is a bit more red than the rest of my face, and it's annoyingly evident in photographs. It might be because of sun damage, or maybe just the fact that I'm Irish.

Anyone had any good experience getting rid of skin redness? I'm trying some Eucyline (sp?) redness relief moisterizer.. supposed to clear things up noticeably in 4 weeks, but we'll see.

The nose and eyes are a very delicate area. Since you're "nordic" it's always a good idea to apply sunblock on a daily basis. Revive has a product called 'blanche' and it's suppose to help with discolaration and sun spots. I use their products and they're very good.

I do use SPF every day... I'm trying my best. I heard there are some kind of medical procedures for alleviating the red skin problem. I hope it doesn't come to that but I'd be willing to, because I'm considering doing some low-key modeling sometime in the future..

If the Eucerin doesn't work the V-beam laser or IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments are supposed to be very effective, try researching those. It's not an invasive procedure, and there's not much down-time. I've never had these, but I've heard from people who have.

Thanks for the knowledge. Sounds like that would be around $2k for the procedure. I'll see how this lotion works out. I already noticed a difference after just one day, so I'm reasonably optimistic.

It would mostly be out of vanity so I really doubt I could drop several thou on something like this.

I think you'd be able to find a better price than $2000. If you want (down the road) I can try to find someone in the SD area for you, just let me know.
